10.) FREE DISC GOLF COURSE
Sunrise Park Resort has a wide-open 9 hole course for both beginner and advance players. Tall Aspen and Blue Spruce trees create in incredible backdrop for one of Arizona’s most elevated disc golf courses. Participants get to hike and play disc golf at the same time. This activity is free to all Sunrise Guests and disc golf equipment is available to rent at the Sunrise Ticket Booth.
9.) ARCHERY TARGET RANGE & COURSES
Archery fanatics can now get some practice in this summer before the 3D Archery Shootout. Sunrise Park Resort now offers a free archery target range, a 10 target walking course for $10 and a chairlift access 20 target walking course for just $25. 8.) GUIDED HORSEBACK TOURS
Take a journey through the back country of the White Mountains of Arizona with your own personal tour guide. Visit breathtaking summits and ride through sacred forests on a trek no words can describe. Your journey through this high altitude tour will become a vacation memory you’ll cherish for years to come. Guided horseback rides are available at White Mountain Stables 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm starting Memorial Day Weekend. Rides on scenic park trails are offered lasting from 1 hour to several hours. All rides proceed at a walking pace.

Sunrise Downhill Mountain Biking Trails offer something for everyone. Whether a beginner or a novice, our mountain is perfect for practice or pleasure. Why wait til Winter to hit the slopes, grab your hard tail or full suspension bike and cruise the mountain in style. Safety gear is advised and helmets are required. Summit Restaurant is home to White Mountain cuisine you’ll have to see to believe. Located at the Sunrise Park Resort Hotel, Summit Restaurant offers a variety of classic American and traditional White Mountain Apache meals, some of which are offered with a new age twist, provided by world renowned Chef Nephi Craig. 5.) SCENIC CHAIRLIFT RIDES & NATURE HIKES
What a great way to spend the day with friends and family. Breathtaking views from atop Sunrise Mountain gives you an Eagle eye view of North Eastern Arizona. Our picnic area at the Eagles Nest Cafe is the perfect family photo op and guests can enjoy lunch at 10,700ft, that’s nearly 2 miles above sea level! 4.) CAMPING & TROUT FISHING
Sunrise Lake is one of the premiere Trout lakes in the White Mountains, in fact, the State Record continues to be held by a Sunrise Lake fisherman who caught 4lb Brook Trout. Fly and bait fisherman alike all enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the angling challenge of the lake whether it be from shore, in a float tube, or a boat. Sunrise Lake is the only lake on the White Mountain Apache Reservation that allows gas powered motors on boats, 10hp or less. Looking to add even more relaxation to your vacation? Allow us to float an idea: A leisurely kayak or pedal boat excursion on Sunrise Lake. You’ll paddle across peaceful waters, enjoying spectacular scenery along the way. Single and double person kayaks are available, as well as motor boats and row boats.
